Private post please..

So it’s been 6 weeks since giving birth, I had an episiotomy and had dissolvable stitches, midwife checked them first couple of weeks after said I was heeling well, bleeding really slowed down and by week 4 was wearing a pantyliner and had discharge with a slight yellowish colour but barely anything, me and my partner had sex just over the 4weeks didn’t hurt everything was fine felt like I was back to myself again then maybe a few days/a week later I started bleeding again was dark brownish now it’s like a full on period with the tiniest little clots is this normal? Shouldn’t I of completely stopped bleeding by now? I did start my pill again on day 21 after birth don’t know if it has anything to do with it, I’m just sick of bleeding and wearing big knickers for pads 🙈 ha thanks x

  • It can take some people up to 12 weeks for the hormones to settle after birth. Some women can take longer some women are shorter it’s normal it all depends on your own body. But I’ll use condoms as extra protection just incase. As pill can take 1 month to 6 weeks etc to settle the periods too.
