Hi everyone…
This isn’t exactly baby related but any advice would be appreciated cos I just dont know what to do for the best, I have to 2 children from a previous relationship, they see their father as much as HE wants to see them its been that way for a while now and things have settled down into somewhat of a routine for everyone, I am in a relationship with another man which is great and I also have another child to the man I’m seeing now and we are getting married next year.. The thing is over the past year or so it seems that my now partner’s family have taken a dramatic step back in their involvement of all 3 kids lives as in there’s no phone calls, no texts no birthday gifts.. Myself and my partner have had arguments over this lately as his family still seem to expect a lot from us, but I feel like I’m at a point now where I’m saying to myself if they can’t be bothered with our children then Im not particularly bothered about attending family events any longer… Should I just smile and go along with it all, even though I feel like my kids are being treated unfairly compared to the other children in the family?? Or say enough is enough if you are not bothered about ALL my kids then don’t bother me?? Talking about it with them isn’t an option any longer as my partner has tried and was just given the excuse of because my other 2 children’s grand parents (ex’s parents) can’t attend family events they don’t feel its right for them to be there either
