Sorry for the long post. Last October I left my job and moved to where my partner was from it seemed like the better option as he was bringing in the most money and working 12 hour shifts adding on another 2hours travel time from where we lived, anyway we decided that I would have a break from work until after Christmas as my job was making me ill from stress so in January I started applying for jobs but nothing seemed to come of it I then found out I was pregnant and because of high risk and previous miscarriages and complications we decided him more so that it would be best if I just give up on the job front for the foreseeable (please don’t judge I’ve found not working really hard, I don’t claim anything) but he’s recently got us into loads of debt to the point we’re skint every month we haven’t bought anything for the baby there’s still things needing to be done to house and I just feel like I can’t say anything because I’m not earning any money so I feel like it’s my fault that he’s in so much debt although there is no need for him to be as he earns more than enough! His father don’t help constantly giving him money and then demanding it back. I always promised myself that I wouldn’t have children if I couldn’t provide for them and I already feel like I’m failing as a mother I have no one to speak to where I live as I had to leave all my friends and family when I moved. I’m just wondering if anyone else have felt or been in this situation and if things turned out okay and how I feel like such a bad parent right now I just don’t know what to do.

  • Go to the job centre and claim Jsa when baby is here you can apply for tax credits and can get a 500 maternity grant too. You need some sort of income. If you’ve always worked and paided your taxes then your entitled to help from the government esp if you’ve been putting money in the system xx
