Sorry the photo isn’t great but I was wondering if any mums know what this could be on my sons mouth, it’s like bright red straight lines and now they are scabbing over on both sides of his mouth and just appeared in the last few hours, he was complaining of a saw mouth yesterday but nothing was there. Someone said cold sores but I’m not sure coz Iv never had one to know and don’t want to be dramatic if it is just cold sores lol. I have a little baby aswel and hoping it’s nothing contagious x

A cold sore can be very dangerous if the baby comes into contact with it! Best to be safe then sorry so I advise till you do get a diagnosis don’t let your boy kiss her etc x
Looks like a cold sore so don’t let him kiss baby as it could be very dangerous to them. Go to the chemist and they will advise the best cream to put on it x
Has he had ice pops recently? They can leave papercut like sores in the corner of the mouth
Looks like cold sores, I get them all the time, don’t let him kiss your baby
Could be impetigo pharmacy can give u cream thoroughly. Wash hands
Has he been eating ice pops? Could b from the wrapper if it’s on both sides
Looks like a cold sore / maybe impetigo ? Both can be treated by a cream x
