Thankyou.
So basically I’ve been admitted to hospital today due to bleeding that they can’t explain. I’m 32 weeks tomorrow and had a bleed a few days ago, and again today. The doctor said he can’t see where the bleed is coming from so suspects it’s from ‘behind my cervix’. Also on monitoring the midwife said my uterus looked ‘irritable’. They’ve given me steroids incase they have to deliver me early and kept me in overnight for monitoring but I’m obviously really worried now. First question is what’s an irritable uterus and has anyone ever had one? Second of all has anyone been in this position and ended up delivering early?

I had bleeding on & off throughout my pregnancy with my 2nd. I had steroid injections at 36 weeks & kept in as they wasn’t sure whether to get her out or not. I ended up having her at 38 weeks via c-section as they thought it would be the best thing. She’s now 3 years old, very happy & healthy
I bled at 39 weeks so not early but no signs of labour just heavy bleeding turns out it was just a very bloody show (plug) they monitored me for 24 hours before breaking my waters and my LG was born 7 hours later. You could possibly be in early labour…
I had my baby 32 weeks 4lb 9 in nicu for 5 weeks cos she couldn’t keep warm, but all babies are different someone else got out earlier than me but baby kept getting infections at the start good luck x
I had an “irritable uterus” with both of mine and it was because I was contracting on and off for weeks but never went into labour. I was admitted to hospital at 37 weeks with my first with contractions off the scale on the monitor only for them to stop out of nowhere. All the doctors and midwives thought I was going to have my baby that day but I didn’t. With my second I had to have my waters broken when he was 10 days late because I’d been contracting on and off for weeks but it kept stopping and I was 3/4cm dilated but wasn’t in labour. Both my babies were born late, my first was 5 days late and labour started on its own eventually.
Yeah I have with my first I had a choice to be induce bit I refused n my son lasted full term I was 30 weeks at the time n had hesvy bleeding
