When we originally viewed our house I was 7 months pregnant so was in a rush. We was told that the house had alot of dodgy paint work from the last tenants but that didn’t bother us as we was in a rush. Anyway. It has 2 bedrooms and is a house. When my estate agents came to do their visit a few months after we moved in we was told that the paint work it actually damp and always has been. There’s mold everywhere. I clean it everyday and it’s always back. It’s in every room in every corner and damp. But we was told by the estate agent the house is awful for it. They also said they would send someone out. And they never did and i had to bang on and on about them to help us. Eventually they sent someone out who was baffled on where its all coming from. And said he would get in contact soon. But they haven’t and the phone calls are not going through. It’s been 3 months now my house stinks and there’s mold and damp everywhere. And we haven’t heard anything from anyone. I had a letter through the post today saying i have ran up my contract there and need to either 1.leave or 2. Pay for another 6 months. But i can’t live here in this state. And i can’t afford to move! My son is also 4 months old. And we wont be able to use his bedroom at all. And my other half has awful asthma. So what do i do? If we go to the council how long would it take as we aren’t homeless? Also the land lords live next door and haven’t bothered to come and see the state of the house and one of them was adiment when they first heard about the damp that I was lying. I dont know what to do 🙁

  • Get environmental health to come and do a report and then hand it to the landlord x
