Can I get a private post on private chat page please x my son is nearly two and a half, he started preschool in September and loved it from day one (he was previously childminder by my Mum so is used to separation and has always been very calm and settled) well the last few weeks there have been constant incidents of me getting him home or to the car to realise he’s poo’d and it’s gone everywhere, a few times I’ve taken him back in where a member of staff has changed him (no apology but they haven’t been grumpy about it either) well he suffers with an allergy so his poos make him very sore and just one missed poo makes him red raw and I then struggle to change him for days as he’s so uncomfortable. He has also stopped being settled, the last 4 days I’ve had to leave him crying (his key person mans the door so I can’t leave him with her)I’m sure he’s the youngest there so you’d think they’d be sensitive to that, he’s gone from settled and confident to crying his eyes out and now refusing to let me leave without literally abandoning him crying at the door every day and nobody steps in til he’s in bits and I’m walking out the door (I stay for 20 mins to half hour trying to settle him with no support from them) I’ve said to them several times that he seems unsettled and they all just say he’s had a good day etc when I collect him (although he comes running to the door like he’s worried I wouldn’t turn up) he only does 4 hours at a time and I’m 30 weeks pregnant so use the time to do housework! Today he’s told me he doesn’t want to go, so I’m not sending him and have asked for a meeting. Am I overreacting to be upset about the situation? I just feel gutted that he’s struggling when he’s always been so confident and happy 😞
