I’m not sure if I’m just worrying too much or if others would find it unsettling. Basically my daughter who is 4 …her dad has “rules” for my daughter and these rules are that she can’t tell me anything! So when she comes home from his I will ask her about her weekend and she will say “I don’t remember” and just closes in herself.
He has told me he’s now in a new relationship and will be telling her. I asked her if daddy has a new friend around and she said she’s “not allowed to tell me it’s daddy’s rules”.
She’s told me that daddy asks a lot of questions about me, but she’s not allowed to tell me?
I don’t really know what I’m asking, but I just want to know if anyone else’s exes tell their kids not to say anything? It can even be about the most simple things! I’ve told her what ever you tell me I’ll keep it to myself and she’s opening up more but it just scares me that she feels she must keep things to herself at such a young age!
