Anonymous post please

Me and my husband have 2 children aged 3 and 6. I’m really torn as to whether we should have another child. I am 80% sure it would be the right thing and the other 20% is made up over doubts of if I could still spend enough time with are other 2 and whether it would be fair on them as it would take my complete attention away from them. My husband is swaying more towards not have no another which also give me doubts. I would love to have another I know it would be hard but I don’t want to completely upset the life we have now. How have others with 3 children found it? There would be a 3 year gap between each if we were to start trying x

  • We are in a very fortunate position and are therefore not entitled to any benefits so it wouldn’t be a financial issue. It’s more how it would effect the dynamics. It would be beneficial to hear the pros and cons x

  • Please could you reply…. we have 2 boys currently. The baby would have a room of its own so that wouldn’t be an issue. I wouldn’t have any preference it would be nice to have another boy or a girlie x

  • If you claim tax credits you can no longer claim for a third. If that’s the case it’s a big burden to the ones you have to stretch resources for another one. I know I couldn’t afford a third without it being detrimental to the two I have so it’s not even something I’d consider.

  • I have 6 children with a 3 yr age gap between my oldest 3! I found it harder with 2 than 3, and I found the age gap was just right as the oldest was at school, one just started nursery so I had the morning with my baba. It worked well. X

  • I have 4 and although sometimes I feel guilty that I don’t have enough time for all of them I still wouldn’t change it for the world. My youngest is 8 months with only 21 months between him and the 3rd so that’s been hard at times but big families are lovely ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • I have 3 13/11/7 at times I do find it hard if your going to have a 3rd I would so don’t leave a big age cap where I find it hard is the 13/11 don’t want to play with the 7 year old
