Can I ask for some advice. Private post. I’ve recently found out that my cousin could possibly want to or will be giving up her children. I have two boys of my own and currently crammed in to a one bedroom property but hopefully we are being assessed and moved in to a bigger property. Me and my partner both work (me only part time due to the kids not reaching school ages) I have so much love and I really don’t want any of them to go any to care with strangers as hard as it is two of them will be staying with family members leaving one possibly going into care. I’m more than happy to take him on but I’m scared that won’t be a possibility because of our housing circumstances at the moment. Could anyone advise me if this is possible? X please make this a private post xxx

They would prefer someone familiar to the child to take responsibility before turning to strangers. They can help argue your case with housing also if needed. Talk to them about it
The housing situation would matter, if you take on a child then ss need to see that they would have thier own room, i know someone who went through this
they can also help you in your assessment to get a bigger house to keep the children with familt
Housing & finances they look at, it’s both balance out it won’t be a problem if you pass the assessment
I think they generally look for family 1st care is the last option if no family can take them on xx
