Can I get a private post please Can i have some advice please?? My son is very perticular about routine. I have to tell him on a daily basis what is happening that day and the following day, if something changes or we don’t do what has been said he has a massive melt down (hes 5 next month) so basically his dad says hes going to have him so i tell my son he’s going to his dads then his dad will inform me the night before or that morning that he can’t have him (he has him overnight after school on a wednesday and a couple of hours Saturday morning) if i don’t tell my son that he’s going to his dads and his dad has him he has a meltdown because he didn’t know and if i tell him he is going and his dad doesn’t pick him up he has a melt down too.. this has been going on for about 3 and a half years.. im at my wits end with it now.. I’ve tried playing the nice guy and the bitch and it hasn’t got me anywhere.. am i doing the right thing by stopping contact?? His dad lets him get away with everything and it takes me all week to get him back to him self. He also has a sticker book that goes to school and comes home everyday to help with my sons behaviour but his dad didn’t return it for a week before so it doesn’t go back to his dad’s house.. i don’t want to be the sort of mum that stops her kids from seeing their dad for no reason but im starting to loose my mind with his dad constantly letting him down.. please tell me if im doing the right thing or not??
