can i have a post please? i just found out my mum is pregnant. shes 44. im her eldest daughter (23) and my youngest brother is 18. I wanna be happy but Deep down I really dont know if im pleased or not. I cant come to grips with the thought. im just still in shock tbh. would you be happy having a younger sibling with this much age gap?

  • Haven’t got that age gap but there’s 16 years between me and my little brother I’m 25 soon and he’s nearly 9. When my mum told me I was shocked but I was so happy to have a baby brother and now the bond we have is amazing love him like my own children. I also have 2 older sisters and a brother. Everyone’s different x you’ve just git be there for her if anything 🙂 you’ll come around

  • It happens, especially if baby is with a new dad…nobody can tell you how you should feel about it just as you can’t tell your mum what she should do on the matter. I can’t honestly say how I would feel until it happened to me personally, even then my own emotions may differ from my sibling’s…

  • Might sound harsh but I’d be the same I don’t know how I’d feel if my mum got pregnant I’m 26 & my younger sister is 22! I think I’d freak out to b honest xxx

  • Surely that’s ur mothers choice to make, and maybe u can help her out with it all and be supportive towards her, could be her last chance to have another and ive heard ppl much older having babies, as long as she is happy then u should be 2
