Can I have a post please

It’s not baby related but I do have kids and it’s involving them.

I’ve recently split with my ex, not so long ago actually. Now Im not with this other guy but we are ‘something’ but not sure what yet, problem is he lives 300 miles away from me so other end of the country. He’s moving to be with me and he’s got a new job near me too, but I’m not sure how to introduce my kids to him, I’ve got a 4 year old and a 2 year old and I’m not sure how to go about it, he’s asked see if he could stay with me until he sorts somewhere out now this isn’t a problem but I’m worried about my kids, not that he would hurt them just that I’m scared about a new relationship, like what if it goes wrong or he can’t get on with me while he’s down here. I’m just really worried things will go sour for us as we’ve not actually had much time together. Obviously I’ve met him though! Can people help me out and tell me about their stories of relationships like mine? Sorry if this doesn’t make much sense! Tia !

  • I wouldn’t gamble with the safety of my kids if I were you – sorry but you don’t know this person very well, your children haven’t even met him but you are considering allowing him to live in your home (even if temporarily to start with) where your very young kids sleep.
Not worth the risk for a second.

  • I’ve not been in your situation but I wouldn’t do it , not if you don’t no if your in a relationship or not, its not fair on your kids to introduce a new bloke into there life’s straight away with him moving in maybe do a few visits with you and the kids so they get to no him to and you see how he acts round them etc hope this helps xx
