Can I have a post please.
My son is 5 and a half.
He’s been getting a bit of an attitude lately and been saying NO! I asked him to pause the tv while I was on the phone he refused 3 times. I turned the tv off, he then starts crying so I told him to go toilet before he wets himself again he said no! I counted to 3, in the end he done it but when he came back he slammed my door.
I then sat him down and said what he done was wrong and he shouldn’t do it again, now with this comes consciences, I gave him a grown up choice of either going to bed early as a punishment (he had eaten, and early would have only been 20 mins) or he can stay up for the 20 but the following day he wasn’t to get tv or sweets or chocolate when he came home from school. He went with the 2nd choice.
I stuck to this!!
Now I told my mum about this and she said he’s way too young to understand and make a decision, I personally feel I made the right choice and so did he!!
What do you think? Is he to young for that??
