Can I have a post please.
Not necessarily baby related, but just wanted to know what everyone would do in my position?
I’m a single mum with a young baby, I moved house when I was pregnant to a nicer area to raise my son. The neighbours are mostly families and old people are everyone generally keeps to themselves. About 2months ago we got a young couple move onto the street. During the week everything is fine but come tea time Friday it’s non stop rave music, partying, people in and out all night. It’s terraced housing and you can hear everything. This goes on untill about 3am and continues with them arguing screaming at each other then music blasting again at 8am saturday. My baby has been in a routine untill 10weeks old, goes to bed at 7 pm and sleeps through and since the neighbours have moved in its all messed up. The music and shouting keeps him awake, it’s so hard to settle him back down and takes till around Wednesday to get back to his routine and come Friday it’s back to square one again. They apologised after the first weekend as they were having a housewarming party, which fair enough I’m not unreasonable or against anyone having a good time ect but where do you draw the line. The entire Street have had letters from the council about noise complaints so I’m obviously not the only person this is affecting. It is going on as i type this, my baby should have been asleep hours ago but he can’t settle.I don’t know where to go from here, I thought this would be our forever home and now I’m not so sure.
