Can i have a pp please? Bit of a long post sorry x
Im divorced (3 years now) with two children. My partner of 2 years wants to get married (no actual proposal but he has a ring) we are expecting our first baby together this year. I kept my matried name as i want the same last name as my children. My oh doesnt want this new baby to have my ex h last name (understandably) but my child (with autism) is having a very hard time understanding that this baby will have a different name. To make matters more difficult when i do marry my oh i dont want to lose the name while taking on his and my other two children feeling like the odd ones out. I feel, because of my last name and my oh sounds awful together. Double barrelling is out. Can anyone suggest something? And changing my older twos last name is out too. Thanks x Also please add my oh wants me to take his last name.

I was in exact same situation as u. After my divorce I kept name 2 have same as my children. When i got with some1 new and he proposed it wasn’t until close 2 our wedding it hit me id have 2b different 2 my children and that placed on my mind alot. I’d have same name.as him and his children but not my own.. but honestly now we are married I don’t even think bout it no more. It’s just 1 of them things that can’t be helped and silly as it sounds u just get on with x
