Can I have a pp please. Just looking for some advice I have a 8 year old who has just changed over night he used to be quite loud always on the go a typical boy well he’s had a few problems at school and we have just got a statement in place but somethings not right the last week or so he seems so sad even the the school have picked up on it he told his teacher he wanted to die and kill himself his gone really withdrawn in himself he dont want to go out play just stay in his room his not eating properly his sleeping loads and then tonight he got angry over the dog chewing his toy so he went in to the kitchen whilst shouting at me I’m getting a knife I wanna die and he did get to the knife draw but I stopped him after I had calmed him down I try to speak to him about how he was feeling and all his saying is no one likes me I have no friends every hates me I just wanna die I tried to tell him that his just upset felling angry sad and I didn’t want him to die he said well I can’t wait to die I’m so worried about him I don’t no what to do does a 8 year even no what dying means or is it just something they say what can I do or say to make it better for him any advice x

Id take him the doctors tommorow hun dont send him to school id get to the bottom of it asap hun he needs help even if its just someone sitting and listening it isnt right for a child of any age to wanna kill themselfs even if it is just a cry for help it isnt right the right people will help you x
Yes docs tomorrow, school will understand if they’ve picked up on it too. There is an issue somewhere that needs to be resolved. Good luck with it xx
