Can I have a pp please,

So earlier this year after 7 years I finally plucked up the courage to walk away with my 2 children from a very violent relationship with there ‘dad’

Someone new has unexpectedly came into my life, it’s pretty early days (we’ve been on around 5dates) but the thing is I’m terrified, I’m starting to have feelings for him and he says he feels the same, where both on the same wavelength as far as my children that we need to take this slow and he will not be meeting them for a good while, at least until we know if what we seem to have is genuine, we are both only 24 so still Young, I suppose the awful relationship I’ve had before has really put a downer on my out look, he has no children but and says the fact that I do doesn’t bother him slightly but I suppose what I’m trying to say is has anyone of my age had two children met someone new and it worked out? Because of my ex I constantly feel like why would some one want to come into my life and the children’s life (potentially) when there own dad described the situation as raising two children as hell, my ex hated everything about farther hood, the nappy changes, the feeding, the waking and he would regularly get angry over the slightest thing… I’m terrified that I’m starting to like someone and I don’t know how to handle it 😰
