Can I have a pp please?
Me and my partner are expecting our 2nd child in January, we’ve bought everything for the baby’s bedroom, paint, cot etc. it just needed clearing out because we’ve just been using it as a storage room, which we both agreed to do this weekend because we wanted the room finished before Xmas in case the baby came earlier than expected. Anyway his friend is wanting to leave his partner but he’d be left homeless because it’s her house. My partner told his friend he could come and stay with us if he wanted to leave and sleep in our spare room (baby’s room) and his friend agreed to do so at the end of this month. I’m really annoyed, mainly because he hasn’t asked me how I feel about it and because we won’t be able to do the baby’s room as planned. If he’s not coming until the end of November, beginning of December I’m assuming he’ll be here over Xmas so when are we supposed to decorate and put the cot up? Am I overreacting or am I right to be pissed off? I know the baby will be in our room for the first few months but I just wanted everything ready and prepared so it was one less thing to worry about.
Btw I’ve never actually met this friend of his before, he doesn’t work because of a disability and I’m a stay at home mum at the moment so I just think it’s going to be awkward and uncomfortable in the house all day with someone I don’t know while my partners at work! 😣 some advice on how to go about this without sounding like a bitch would be appreciated!
