Can I have a ppp: Nbr but 2 years ago I had my gallbladder out, ever since I’ve had it out, literally everytime I eat I have to go too the toilet straight away for a number 2, but it’s usually watery and yellow , has any one else had the same or no what I can do because the stomach cramps I get are awful, thank you x

  • I’m the exact same except mine isn’t yellow. Mine is mostly blood and mucus! Any hot drink goes right through me, tomatoes give me stomach cramps worse than my labour and anything spicy gives me the runs for days. I’ve had colonoscopies and all sorts but came up with nothing except inflammation. Have another appointment at gastro next month but I’m not getting my hopes up. They told me it would be like this but nowhere near as bad. The way they described it is when you eat you produce bile which is stored in the gallbladder and released slowly as needed to aid digestion. Now you don’t have a gallbladder so it’s all just being released at one time which causes the fast digestion. Not sure if there’s much that will help though 🙁 sorry I’m not offering help or a solution but at least you know it’s not just you 🙂 x

  • Honestly, if you eat ANY fat this is likely to happen after Gallbladder removal. Something they neglect to tell you. Your bile is effectively being constantly released into your intestines and has to go somewhere… Eating fatty foods speeds up the production of the bile. x

  • I found that eating at regular intervals really helped and made sure I ate something first thing in the morning. Xx
