Can I have a private post please.

4 years ago I was in a abusive relationship mental and physical. It got worse when I fell pregnant and felt trapped. With family support I went to the police and it went to court. He got 8 months and did 4. It then went to court about contact and he was seen unsafe to have anything to do with my boy and lost full parental responsibility.
I would like people on the outside to help me view what happened right and how to move on and stop replaying everything over every night!
He would always make an argument at night about anything and nothing. After he would always want sex and I never but he would keep being verbally and sometime physically abusive until we did.
I just had a c section and your meant to wait 6weeks before sex but he wouldn’t even go 2 days! I was crying in pain and after a week I had a bad infection.
Bare in mind it’s been 4 years now and I’m happily engaged and have a little girl now aswell.
Just can’t seem so shift the horrible memories.
I never told the police about the sex parts aswell.
How and when will these go x
