Can I have a private post please

I am worried sick. My gut is telling me that something is wrong. My 2 year old will not answer to his name. He doesn’t look when I or anybody calls him (only when he wants to) and he doesn’t make eye contact with me when I am trying to speak to him. He doesn’t communicate to me through speech. He pulls me to what he wants or brings me his juice cup. He is very clever though. He can say all his alphabet, count to 20, count backwards from 10, knows some shapes, colours, animals and their sounds. I don’t know what to do. People are telling me he is just behind with his communication but Im not convinced and I have scared myself by reading on Google and all the signs point to autism. It’s breaking my heart. He is 25 months. Has anyone else’s child been like this and has turned out to be ok? He starts nursery in September and I’m hoping this will bring his communication on. What did your child say at 25 months? I wasn’t worried at all up until last week when he just refused to look at me when I was calling him. I said his name louder and louder and even clapped my hands and knocked on the door. I know he can hear me. His hearing his perfectly fine. He will be in the next room and hear a programme he likes and run into the living room. So I know he can hear properly. He is being very stubborn and refuses to look at me when I call him. I’m really worried. I love my son.
