Can I have a private post please..
I have a just turned 4 year old and he has struggled with his speech, he has had speech and language therapy and has made amazing progress but it still a little behind for his age.. however I am so worried that he has Autism as every time you google speech delay the first thing it’s says is autism.. and I’m becoming a bit obsessed watching and critising his every move.. he is really social loves nursery and quite loud, makes really good eye contact.. although he is rather moody if he doesn’t get his own way and can through some impressive tantrums..
he does refer to himself quite a lot as me instead to I, but when corrected he will say it correct.. anyway question I’m asking is, is it common to have speech delay and not be autistic? X
