Can I have a private post please, I’m on my 3rd implant and had it in at end of November in 2015 and my period basically stopped a few little period with a couple of days bleeding but nothing big. At beginning of this year I started a new relationship and my period have came back regular like every month but not heavy or anything. I’ve recently just started my period and this time it’s really heavy, to the point when I go for a wee it looks like I’m peeing blood but I’m not I’m also having to wipe like 3 times to clean up and today had loads of little blood clots in my blood. I phoned the doctors and got and appointment on Friday for a blood test (to see if I’m anemic as had it in pregnancy and swabs to check for infection) the thing I’m worried about it waiting ages for the results and the fact that I will still be on my period when I have the swabs. Has anyone had swabs done while on a period and how long did results take to come back! If it makes any difference I’m only 22 and I’m my partners first sexual partner… tia
