Okay long story about possible unfair dismissal. Looking for some advice.

So about 6 months ago my friend put in a sexual harassment claim against a manager called john (fake name). The reason was she was friends with another male member of staff called Ted (fake name), And everyday when Ted and my friend came into work together the manager John would ask my friend What sexual things she had done with Ted. My friend eventually got sick of these questions all the time and kicked off and filed a sexual harassment complaint against John on the 23rd.

The next day my friend phoned in sick at 12pm for a shift that was due to start at 2. Then later on she felt okay so went to a bbq at 11pm. Someome from the bbq told the senior manger my friend had went to the bbq

3 days later on the 26th my friend was sacked from her job. The reason her manager gave was “It was his “belief” that gross misconduct had occurred..”

Is that enough of a reason to sack someome. Baring in mind it isn’t really a reason. She done nothing wrong in her job and called in sick when she genuinely felt ill.

Sorry if I doesn’t make sense I can add more details if needed. X
