Can I have a private post please ? My daughters dad isn’t on the birth certificate where father is held he is just at the comments part to say we know he is the father but my daughter has my last name, so in this situation I have another daughter who is my partner the now daughter and she has his second name. So what I’m getting at is I just married my partner and taken his name how do I go about changing my first daughters name to match ours as she has my last name anyway I’m not really thinking deedpol but for example Stephanie mcdonland is her name and was her mothers madain name but her mums name is now changed to corral can I change her name to Stephanie corral but also known as mcdonland ( brw these are now really names of the people ) please no bashing I just don’t want her going to school when older and people asking her why she hasn’t got her sister mother and step dads name but has her mothers old name tia
