can i have a private post please?
Hi, I’m looking for some advice on my 15 month old daughter. For the past id say 6 months I’ve had hell with her, shes just a really whingey child. Literally cries at anything or for nothing, the past couple of months she has been so whiney if someone so much as looks at her. Shes a really sweet little girl when she wants to be, but if me or a family member look at her or god forbid someone talks to her she just whines and turns away. Recently i noticed she holds/pulls her ears or hair when this happens also. Shes a really good talker and communicator for her age too, she knows how to tell us what she wants but she wont let us speak to her, sometimes if we try to play with her she goes into a huge strop.. she loves attention at the same time its a really strange behaviour ive never seen before! Its not as if she only does it to strangers either, its all of us. I brushed it off for months saying its just a phase but family members have started picking it up I’m questioning if its normal as I’m a teen mum with little experience. My sister in law seen one of her tantrums the other day and was shocked as none of the family have seen her do one, tbh it wasnt even that bad ive put up with worse but my sister in law was gob smacked. She punches, kicks, headbutts, bites, throws everything around. Shes not even walking yet, shes been really quite slow with things that involve strength (sitting/standing ect..) but ahead on the talking and communicating. I dont know im just looking for some advice on what to do, i will be taking her to see a doctor to check her hearing (its always been fine but just to check shes not got sensitive ears) ive searched the internet high and low, some say phase, some say age, others say autistic spectrum.. i think its more likely a phase but i just want to know if anyone else has experienced it? She loves attention, adores everyone and is so sweet. But her temper and whining is getting worse literally by week 🙁 xx
