Can I have a private post please?

I am 20 weeks pregnant and we are over the moon.
I was so upset for my husband when we told his family we never got so much as a congratulations. His mum just said you look shocked. Like I did this intentionally.
She then went onto say your wife (me) is pushing his sister out the family and how could we have a baby without consulting them and how do we think we have made his sister feel(she is 27 btw)
Does anyone think this is strange?
We have tried to involve them in every step and gave them scan photos in hand crafted frames for our baby to be referred as a “thing”
I’m at a loose end don’t know how to deal with this any ideas?
My family are ecstatic.
