Can I have some advice. I am my wits end.
So tonight, when picking up my son my partner asked about the Xmas arrangements. And I said that I would be having him on Xmas morning and he could hsve him Xmas afternoon and boxing day. This is because I’m a shift worker and I hsve happened to get Xmas off. Anyway, unhappy with this response- his girlfriend then says that she will be reporting me to social services due to a burn my son had on his hand from 2 weeks ago. I am absolutely livid. But also incredibly hurt. I know I am a great mum, my son is well looked after and I hsve never laid a finger on him. I feel like this is a complete deformation of character and as a health care professional myself this could have a profound impact on my career. I have done absolutely nothing wrong and these accusations are purely malliscuous. I will be seeking legal advice tomorrow. My ex’s girlfriend mentioned this in front of my son on the door step and he’s been upset wondering what social services are. I’m a full time working mum and we have a nice house etc etc. Now My question is what happens next? Will I get a letter or a phone call? Will they investigate? I looked online and it says I should contact the police if they are mallicious allegations.
