Can I please have a private post.
Please no abuse, just genuine advice.
It’s a long one!
I am stuck between a rock & a hard place.
I have a 6 year old son, I am not with his father but I have a partner.
My partner left the town he was in to move back to the town I am in 12+months ago.
He used to leave here but left to get away from a bad scene involving drugs.
Long story short.
He wants to move to get away from it all again, this town is just the dumps & once you are in something it always sucks you back in.
My problem is, I won’t leave my son. My sons Father (we all currently live in the same town) won’t “allow” me to take him. & my partner won’t leave me, he would rather stay here to be with me & have things go the way they are than leave the town & leave me.
We are fighting, every day because of it.
It breaks my heart to see him so frustrated with being here yet on the other hand fills my heart that he refuses to leave without me.
I’m not really sure what my question is here.
Do I leave without my son, he has a great father, to support my partner? We wouldn’t be moving far, 2/3 hours away. Do I stay & watch my partner continue to be torn?
Just advice, reassurance? I’m not sure, I’m so torn.

The fact that you would consider leaving your kid is beyond me! Just pick up and move the kids dad can still see him at weekends but meet half way to make it fair on dad.
