Right so, my maternity is due to end tomorrow and I am due to go back to work tomorrow part time 16 hrs a week (im 16 weeks preggo also so id be going on maternity agen in december). But my partner has been offered a new job to start in 2 weeks which is greatttttt money but the 2 days il be working he wont be able to have the kids if he takes this job sooooo il have to work for 2 weeks and then leave my job ready for him starting his. (Not paying childcare costs and no available family to watch my kids)
If i leave will i have to pay the maternity ive been paid, back? I get mixed answers on google which i dont trust and i didnt ever sign anything with my boss. Im sure i have a contract but ive never signed 1 in the 3 yrs ive worked there!!! Im shitting it incase i leave then i have to pay 8 month worth of maternity back? I cant afford that 😕

You might not have to pay it back as you are returning but if you haven’t signed anything I doubt it but you won’t be able to claim maternity leave for this one, can’t you just put your little one in childcare until your 29 weeks and then you will be able to go on maternity leave again x
Is it just SMP? You don’t have to pay SMP back but may have to pay back any extras.
Has the maternity pay come from the company.. or is it statutory?? Xc
