Can you post privately for me please. 😊

I have a son who is in full time School, and I have moved my partner in with me a few weeks ago(he works fulltime) I also work (but only do about 9 hours a week if that, my hours vary) .

because ive moved my partner in & because of his income, I have lost child tax(don’t know how they can stop my sons money because my partner isn’t my sons dad) 🤔anyway……
5 days ago I found out I am pregnant…not sure how far I am
Yet or anything…. is there anything I can claim now I am pregnant? As it’s going to be really really hard now, I have bearly no money coming in(No bashing please I’m only wanting advice from people who have been in my situation) can someone please guide me in he right direction. Unsure if I’ll be better off not working or carrying on… (pregnancy isn’t an illness and I am willing to continue I just want to be better off money wise)

  • Can u reply to my post please.

Yes I have lost child tax because of my partners income… HMRC do take both incomes into account) what would I be able to claim for my new baby when he/she is here?) if I would get child tax… why would I get that for my new baby….
When yet, they have recently stopped it for my son…

  • It goes on household as if
    You life together
You are financially joined and should support each other , don’t think you will get anything until baby here , if your child is full time is there any way you could work more than 9 hours?

  • If a partner moves in you need to do a fresh claim declaring what he earns. You should still be entitled to something unless his salary is above the upper limit (is it still around 28k per year? ) then once little one born that can just be added on

  • You won’t get anything until baby is born. You’re still entitled to normal child tax for your son even with a partner so I’d ring them about that. Other than that you her nothing until baby is here

  • There is a benefit calculator online that you put in all ur details and it tells u what u would get u could also do it for when baby has arrived and it will tell you what u will get then aswell x

  • It’s down to ur partner to now support u now he has moved in with u, u can’t claim anythin for being pregnant, do u claim workin tax credit? Ur partner might not be ur sons dad but he still has a duty to support u all if he’s living with u as a family c

  • your partner could earn too much for you to qualify they take the household income into consideration not if they are the parent

  • I don’t think u will be able to claim anything for the new baby till the baby is actually here. X

  • Same happen with friend of mine. Moved new bf in and any money they were getting before was all stopped as they go on your bf/partners income now to support you.

  • You will lose it because it’s a household income, nothing to do with him not being your sons dad.

  • Goes by household income.
Together you must earn over £16,000 annual hence why it’s been stopped x
