Could I have a post on the private chat page please..
Has anybody ever gone to court over council tax? What happens?
I ow money from last years bill witch I was paying off (£10 a week) until my tax credits got stopped because I didn’t renew in time so now council tax have got debt company involved called Jacobs iv tried my best to come up with an agreement but they are having none of it and trying to tell me I can afford to pay £58 a week (witch I can’t) aswell as my £35 council tax a week for this year, theres me my partner and 2 children! My partner is the only one working but he’s self employed so not always guaranteed a wage.. I’m so stressed out and had enough of them dictating me trying to tell me what I can and can’t afford! If I could pay it I would, I don’t want to be in debt! My sister has told me to just tell them to take you to court because the minimum they have to accept is £1 if it goes to court.. sorry for long post but help please xx
