Could I have a post please? I would post on other group but I don’t know who knows my ex on there
So pretty much my violent, drug taking ex has taken me to court for access for our son (which probably won’t happen due to his past and current behaviour) and my solicitor adviced me to go through child maintenance, as he’s never contributed towards his son’s up bringing and has been completely absent his whole life, by his own choice (until now, of course. His own words he wants to do everything to help his son)
So I plucked up the courage today and made the application.
So why do I feel guilty doing it when I have nothing to feel guilty for?
Have I done the right thing or does it make me look like a bad person because I’ve asked him to help pay towards his son?

Tbh u should have done it a long time ago I wouldn’t feel guilty hun access or no access he should be providing for his child x
