Could I have a ppp? I am currently in hospital at 33 weeks pregnant. For the last week my underwear has been damp but I put this down to pregnancy discharge. Then yesterday I felt 5 gushes of liquid but it smelt like urine so put it down to baby on bladder etc. This morning I had a private scan who said I only had 4mm of amniotic fluid in my deepest pool around the baby. I went straight to hospital as it was low. The doctor examined me and said my waters had been ruptured and they needed to do a scan but won’t do it until tomorrow. I was just wondering if anybody else had such low levels and what happened? Thanks

  • I went into labour at 36 weeks, cut a long story short even with scans they failed to realise I had low waters. My water level was 3 so really low. I had oligohydramnios which is low fluid, and after being in labour for a week and my consultant actually doing her job properly I had my daughter by c section at 37 weeks as we were both high risk of infection xx

  • I had an elective section at 38 weeks due to breech birth and previous emergency section and they found my waters had totally gone and I hadn’t noticed. Baby ok but had bubbly chest. Didn’t go SCBU but antibiotics on ward. He is now a very happy, healthy (mobile) 10 month old
