Could I have a PPP

This is going to be a strange post but maybe someone has some advice. Basically after having my daughter in august 2015 at my 6 week check I was given contraception which I stopped taking after 4 months because it didn’t agree with me. After that I never got periods for a long time. Which is understandable because of having a baby and coming off contraception. I went to the doctors and the nurse told me how to check my own cervix to be familiar with my body and check weather I’m ovulating and when my period might come. Anyway I’ve been doing this for a couple of months and can feel that my cervix gets soft like it says online when I should ovulate. Does this actually mean I am ovulating or not? I’m getting periods again I’m just wondering weather your cervix could do that but not ovulate? Sorry for the long post🙈
