Could I have a private post please? I’m currently living in a mother and baby unit but moving into a council place I have no bed fridge freezer sofa washing machine or anything at all does anyone know of any grants I’m entitled to to help me cover the costs of basic things?

  • in scotland its the welfare fund well in fife. and you get all your white goods, carpets and things but u do have tk be intilited to it. if u look it up iff your in this area and compelte the form x

  • Its a discreashionary grant you get now its the same as a community care grant, Vincent depol provide you with cooker, washing machine, fridge freezer sofas and stuff there a charity contact them

  • Your health visitor or family nurse practitioner or any kind of support worker can apply to charitable organizations for such items too

  • Budgeting loan? Also your local council should offer you a loan ( welfare grant I think its called ) for household items

  • Local council will give you an Lwp grant for white goods I got a sofa single bed (daughter was in her cot) washing machine cooker and fridge freezer they also give out £50 Asda cards for shopping Hun go to your local council website there’s an online application x
