Could I have a private post please

I’ve been separated from my ex partner for over a month now 2 children together and during that time my daughter has had a birthday but he has failed to do anything for them during this time I’ve offered to meet him a million times so he can see the kids and there is always an issue or an arguement or just says no he can’t have them at his parents where he’s staying because his dad is a violent drunk who used to beat him and his dad has already said he doesn’t care for my children.Now he’s decided he wants to go to court and all the usual threats he has been violent in the past I have proof..im just wondering how I can prepare myself if he does go court or what the process is I don’t no where to start or anything…i mean it could be empty threats but I can’t be certain..my daughter really dislikes him she wants her name changed the lot this is nothing new they have never really had a great relationship..i currently don’t work he was providing for us before he walked out..im just really scared that he will get to have them there…thankyou
