Could you please post privately – I have 2 children, single parent neither dad involved with them. One is 6 and half and one has just turned 1 in November.
I’m currently working and have been at my current place of work for 2 years. I’ve been informed that the shop is closing. I have my job until March. And then it’ll be done.
Any single parents out there that have gone onto benefits after something like this has happened? What’s benefits do you get? I’m 25 and haven’t had to anything like this before as I’ve always been in work. Obviously I’m going to be looking for another job but it needs to right one and making sure I can get family to help if there’s weekend work.
Any advise please would great.
Please don’t bash- I’m desperate to carry on working but Just has to be right.
