7 thoughts on “Has anyone had a emergency c section and a elective c section? What’s the differ…

  • I had both, first elective (by hospital not me) was told the week before. Physical healing is the same discharged after 5 days with first baby and 3 days with second. 1st healed faster and was stitched differently. Mentally the first one still bothers me as I didn’t really have a choice due to health issues.
Not really sure what you’re asking tho?

  • I had an emergency section with mt second child. Prefer virginal birth but every one is different i don’t know what an election section is like but got told an emergency is worse than an election. But i was up and about pretty much 6 days later and even having sex 🙈🙉🙊 i got wrong off the midwives as they tell you to rest for 6 weeks and be careful for months but how are you supposed to do that with a newborn. Xx

  • The only difference for me was my iron levels dropped so low after the emergency one so I was quite tired but the pain for me and recovery was the same. For my emergency I was in labour for 14 hours beforehand whereas with my planned I went down in the morning and within hours I had my baby. I preferred the planned but being aware of what is happening was quite scary for me personally

  • Ive had 5 c-sections, only the first was an emergency. It’s a shock to the system. The rest were a breeze in comparison.
