Hello I need some advice about my little girl. She’s 2 years old and for the last week she has really struggled with bed time and going to bed. When I put her down at around 8.30-9.00 she screams the house down!! I check her to make sure she’s safe be leave her to a point where I really can’t anymore. So I cuddle her and she settles on me. It’s quarter to 11 tonight and she fell asleep on my so I tried to finally put her down and she woke up. Screamed and kicked when I got her in her room to the point where she was gagging and trying to be sick. I really have no idea what to do with her. I can’t complain to much because she’s always been a good sleeper. Sleeping through the night but I don’t know what to do. By the way she’s acting it as if something has spooked her. Every week I take her to my parents to stay over as I work 12 hour shifts. This week I had to take her back home with me because she was hysterical, can anyone suggest what I can do

  • She may be coming down with something or she had a nightmare very common in 2 years plus .keep perseveeing and put her to bed around 7pm if she screams sit with her with a lamp on and comfort her then gradully leave her it will take a couple of weeks but does work .x

  • maybe cos she’s sleeping away then coming home to sleep some nights differnt patterns can upset the routine..but if your givin in to easy and keep runing in to her she’s going keep waking up for you and playing up also letting her fal asleep on you is not so good try getting her in to a earlier routine read her a story and say good night as you put her down if she cryes just try let her cry it out see what happends x
