Hello, I need some help understanding maternity leave holiday entitlement.
I worked full time for a small company for four years. I left for maternity October 2016 as my daughter was due in November. At the end of July 2017 my SMP period was up, but I had told my employer that I would take one full year of leave and decide if I wanted to go back or not. I decided to stay at home and let the company know in September that I will not be returning.
I know that I have accumulated holiday during my maternity leave, but my question is, how much? Is it just for the 9 month SMP period? Or for the 12 months? And when should my employer pay this to me? As I have just received my end of contract letter from them.
I’ve tried to find help on websites but I am still not clear. Can anyone give me advice? Many thanks!
