Hello, may I have a post to this page please? I hope I’m allowed to ask this. I’m from the UK and have managed to get into midwifery at uni which is highly competitive. I’ve always wanted to be a midwife since as long as I can remember, I read university books about midwifery from when I was 8!When I went to my induction I noticed a lot of the women starting with me have had children and developed an interest there. Unfortunately I am almost 22 and still the baby of my whole family, and I can’t have my own children so haven’t had any real life experience, just what I read and learn about in books. I really really really want to be the BEST midwife I can be and would really really appreciate if you ladies could leave some of your experiences, like what mattered to you with the care you midwife gave, what would you have liked to have been done better? I really appreciate it ☺️ there’s no one I know who’s had a baby that I can ask!
