Hey could you post please

Hey ladies, could I have some advice please.
My daughter has chicken pox, spots appeared today. My estate had a fun day yesterday and now my 21week pregnant neighbour who has never had them is terrified in case she caught it. And rightly so. But she would have crossed paths with my daughter at some point in such a small space. She is currently awaiting a call back from NHS direct, but is there anything, from experience perhaps, I could tell her to help put her mind at ease. Worried for her but she is in a state of panic at the moment.

  • Tell her to ring her gp in the morning they can do a blood test to check immunity, my girls got them when I was pregnant with their brother and my mum couldn’t remember if I’d had them or not so gp did a blood teat and it showed I was immune

  • Children are contagious 2 weeks before spots come out so you just never know!! See if she can contact her midwife is well just to put her mind at ease x

  • fairly sure the incubation period for chicken pox is 14 days. and if neighbour is immune (had them already) I don’t think there’s any more danger than using a trolley at asda (as an example)
Germs of all sorts are everywhere.

  • If she’s already had them then there’s nothing to worry to about, but definitely better to be safe x
