Hey everyone I’m looking for advice on behalf of my husband.

He had two kids from a previous relationship. We brought them away for 12 days last year because we have our own child together and we wouldn’t just bring her without his two girls.
Anyways we had an amazing time kept in contact with the mum the whole time etc. when we returned home we told her we’ve booking again and this was fine.
We went to book it today we got prices and straight away we rang her to let her know and she told us no. During summer he gets the girls for 10 days anyways and we be going during the time we have them. The only thing is this year it’s working out 14 days with the travel on the boat etc.
she said she would miss them too much and we told her that we can FaceTime etc which we done last time round. Anyway after much back and forth we decided we’re not going. Anyways his eldest rang us and said she overheard her mum and her boyfriend talking and the reason was she can’t go without two weeks of wages (maintence) we have a wedding to pay for. He’s absolutely fuming and it’s not about us it’s about the kids.
Has anyone been in this situation before just seems very unfair especially since it’s a camping holiday for families nothing else.
