Hi can I have a post please?
Can I just start by saying I am waiting on a call from the doctors.
So my little boy is 11 weeks old today and has got a horrible cold with a nasty dry barking cough. I went to the pharmacy to ask (apart from steam inhalation) what can I do to ease his discomfort, could he have calpol and what dose (as at his 1st jabs at 2months was told he could only have calpol for jabs and anything after up-until he was 3 months would need to seek advice). The pharmacy told me that he was strictly not to have calpol until 3 months as his organs aren’t developed but instead to give him honey. And the pharmacy said to just dip his dummy in the honey and give it him that way. I was under the impression that due to bacteria in honey children under 12months were not allowed to have it? Am I correct in thinking this?
Thank you xx
