Hi can I have a pp please, basically me and my OH were arguing and long story short he was comparing himself to my ex and I said “no he’s bigger than you muscle-wise” my OH is quite slim and my ex is lanky and slim. I didn’t even mean to say it to upset him just stating a fact and he replied with “well ***** is skinnier than you!” About his child’s mum!! (Baring in mind I am not exactly really big but I am on the chubby side got a tummy etc).. I don’t even know what to think now, he apologised straight after said he didn’t mean it and he just retaliated because I hurt his feelings. He bought me flowers to say sorry. But I just feel like I can’t be okay with this I feel so upset. Am I being stupid or am I right to Feel like this?

So you said something upsettting to him = it’s ok you didn’t mean it! When he does the same back and gets flowers to apologise you can not get over it? Double standards? Did you buy him flowers to apologise?
To be fair, he only retaliated to what you said. Forget it and move on you both said nasty things x
