  • My 14 year old has lights out at 9:30 any later on a school night she is a miserable bitch in the morning ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. My 17 year old is a nightmare for sleeping and always have been so god knows as he can be awake whole night with no tv/computers on.

  • I would say 10 is late enough. She has to get up for school so needs sleep? And I agree parents should have a few hours to themselves in the evening. However Iโ€™m normally in bed by 10pm myself๐Ÿ˜‚ I think my bedtime was still 8pm at 13๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s also your house and your rules!

  • I have twins thay have just turned 17 and a LG of 5 years old 5 year old goes to bed 7 730 17 years old go up about 9pm 930 pm god nos what time they go to sleep but they r up and geting ready for college each day at 630 am
Personally I think 9pm is a good time for her to go up hay way she gets to do what she wants in her room TV music chat with friends etc and your hubbie gets his time if my kids were to be down her with me longer we would all proberly stay up later but tbh teenagers live there beds and love sleep

  • No your right. You need me time. Otherwise they stay up half the night and are right baggageโ€™s the next day. I used to say to mine my patients button goes off at 9. So get you gone because woe-betide you if you get under my skin. They think they are grown up but still need 10 hours sleep.

  • I have my teenagers in a routine for school nights (13 and 14). Then in the holidays I let them have a couple of late nights doing what they want. Say midnight. Then the following night will be an early night to catch up or they are moody! Then two nights before they go back to school I put them back to normal and I wake them up about nine to get used to it. Depends on the child aswell. If my 13 year old doesn’t have early nights he’s tired and tearful but my 15 year old seems to handle it better.

  • 3 teens here, 8.30 phones down, read or chat together, teeth brushed get washed in that time supper or whatever. 9pm everything off and sleep. They need more sleep now than ever! More relaxed at weekends but we all need quiet and sleep too! Strict with school night routine regardless of what they claim their mates do ๐Ÿ™„

  • During the week my 9 Year old is in bed for 8:30 But weekends and school holidays I’ve seen her up in her room playing Xbox till midnight. As long as she’s in her room im fine with it.

  • My 13 year old son goes to sleep at 9 on school nights and 10/10.30 in holidays and weekends. I’m a single mom and hate the loneliness but my bed time also tends to be the same time as his ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ x

  • 13 and 15 year olds. Theyโ€™re mostly in their rooms 7ish and go to sleep when ever, as long as they get up when needed and they do ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Your school nights are perfect but Iโ€™d say teens should go to bed when they want on non school nights. If you want private time now and then use your bedroom.

  • See if this was me I’d say ok.. and let her go bed whenever then when she starts feeling tired and not wanting to do much etc you can say well that’s what you get for going to bed late and that’s why I have a bedtime. You ain’t doing it to be mean! Your doing it for her own good. X

  • i was pretty flexible and easy going with mine, no specific times, i dont beleive in forcing kids to sleep if/when they arent tired lol, it worked for us, their own body clock got them into their own routines x
