Hi can I have a pp please. Ladies, my sons is 3 weeks 5 days old. I looked into his mouth today and I saw this. Does anyone know what it is? I do have a appointment at the gp later but was wondering if any of you guys knew what it was. Pic in comments.

That’s oral thrush you need to go see your gp they will give you something
for it My little girl who is now coming up 8 has had it since birth she gets nitstatin
Are you breastfeeding? If you you will need treating too…they should give you canistan that you wash off before feeds and nystatin for baby x
Sometimes a milk layer can form! Whether it’s breast milk or bottle milk or it could be thrush. I’d go docs to rule thrush out
Looks like thrush my little girl had it when she’s was 10 days old. Was on anti biotics for a week it’s cleared up quickly thou x
You mean the yellow stuff? It’s milk the layer they get all mine got it and it started clearing when they had solid food thrush is more white and affects tounge and gums but takes to docs be on safe side x
It’s thrush hun get to the doctors or talk to your health visitor. They will prescribe you a gel to rub on his tongue and around his mouth. He’s too young for anti biotics right now. So that’s all they will offer. Though it looks a little infected.

If it’s thrush u can get nilstat (might be spelt wrong) its over the counter so don’t need a script, the question is if Bub can have it that young
