Hi can I have a pp please.

So what do you do when you finally realise that your partners addiction to drink and drugs is more important to you than you and your child?

I’ve been with my partner for 2 years and we have a 7 month old baby together, I also have children from a previous relationship who live with us and he also has one that visits one day a week.

For the last few months my partners binge drinking has become an issue as he is becoming very spiteful when he returns home, I also know that on the odd occasion he takes drugs which I do not agree with. He has been to the gp for help but as he doesn’t drink everyday like a ‘typical alcoholic’ they arnt interested in helping him.

He’s promised me he’s going to change etc… yesterday we went out to an afternoon BBQ and surprise surprise he didn’t want to come home so I left with the children alone. He rolled in at 1am completely off his face. For the first time ever I looked in his pockets and found a piece of paper folded up containing white powder!! I’m shocked and terrified now I’ve seen it with my own 2 eyes. What the hell am I going to do? I have recently given up my job to stay at home with our baby so financially cannot support myself, can I involve the police? Will they come and take him away because he has that on his possession? I do not want my children growing up around drugs and excessive use of alcohol it makes me feel sick and triggers the anxiety that I used to suffer from. X
